Dig Pink Volleyball Game Results

The Dig Pink Benefit Volleyball Games were held last night against Naugatuck the Oxford High School Gymnasium.

After losing the first game to Naugatuck, the JV volleyball team pulled together to win the next two and the match.
The varsity won their first game of the dig pink match against Naugatuck then lost the next two. They regrouped to win the fourth but unfortunately lost the fifth game 15-11 to lose the match 3-2.

The Volleyball team would like to thank you to everyone who came out and showed support for the team and to donate towards breast cancer awareness.

Lady Wolverines Beat Watertown in Volleyball

The JV and Varsity volleyballs teams both won their matches against Watertown.

Standouts for JV were: Olivia Lombardi and Emma Cuomo.

For varsity: Kimmy Mrozinski with 13 kills and 4 Aces; Roula Tzepos with 5 Aces; and Kelly Shpak with 6 kills and 5 Aces.

This Friday is our Dig Pink game against Naugatuck. All proceeds from raffles and door admission will be donated to Griffin Hospital. Come out and cheer out ladies on!!!

Dig Pink Benefit Volleyball Game

The Oxford Wolverines Volleyball Team is going to have a benefit game on Friday, October 13th. Proceed from the game will be given to The Hewitt Center for Breast Wellness at Griffen Hospital

It is suggested that you were something pink. There will also be a bake sale and a silent auction. Some of the silent auction donation items include

  • Ice skating outing for 8
  • 3 month membership to CW
  • 30 minute De-stress massage
  • Adam Broderick Coffee, 2 mugs and Gift Card
  • Oxford Baking Company Basket from Dr. Baum w/ custom mouthpeice

Lady Wolverines on the Volleyball Court Keeping Rolling Along

The Lady Wolverines won their match in 4 games against Ansonia Tuesday.

After winning the first two games the Wolverines played a nail biter third game losing 28-26. The ladies came back in the 4th winning 25-20.  Game scores 25-20;25-23;28-26;25-20. Playing well for the Varsity team: Kim Mrozinski with 16 kills and 7 digs; Danielle Rossi with 15 serves and 8 digs and Aniela Olbrys with 24 digs.
